Missing from the Sportsman Shows: Bentley’s $300K Fly Fishing SUV

Problem: We load up the same old truck, drive the same old highway to the same old fishing hole, and catch the same old fish with our same old buddies. It’s a routine we’ve had for years that is desperately in need of a shake up.

Solution: Thankfully Bentley Motors identified our problem and tasked their top designers to come up with a fix. Behold Bently’s Bentayga Fly Fishing SUV by Mulliner - a Valley angler’s cure for the same old routine (or something like that).

Bentayga was created for the person who wants to seek new landscapes and take a fresh look at their world– to see through new eyes. For Bentayga will reveal new ways to experience familiar journeys on road and deliver new journeys in new environments off-road. It was by understanding these needs and desires that led Bentley to reappraise, reshape and redefine the luxury SUV, and what it is capable of.

Mulliner is Bentley’s custom shop credited for designing the fly fishing package. The $100K add-on includes a master tackle station made of burr walnut containing a fly tying vise and tools, a refreshment case, three metal flasks and a set of Mulliner fine-china tableware, a food storage compartment, saddle-leather-wrapped wood trunk lined with neoprene, waterproof boot-floor and electronic dehumidifier unit to ensure the area remains fresh and dry. With a base price $200K, the Bentayga could be yours for only $300K!

Fly fishing is a sport that requires a variety of equipment and clothing, so it was essential to package the rods, reels, waders, boots and fly-tying station into the car in a luxurious, accessible and elegant way – and the end result is truly extraordinary.
